Detection of most discordances or lower quality of honey is possible only through a very detailed, and time consuming testing. Analyses of honey are complicated, and possible to conduct in specialized laboratories only. In order to provide a proper quality of our honeys, we put a great emphasis on the testing of the raw honeys we acquire.
The factors we take under consideration in the testing process, are not solely the chemical parameters of the honey, but also the hygenic conditions of the source, where the honey was produced. Our quality control system allows for the identification of the raw honey on the basis of production batch number located on each packaging. We regularly check the work envirnoment and practices of the bee-keepers we work with, since they have a great impact on the quality of honey. We also focus on constant improvement of our qualifications, as well as the level of knowledge regarding honey and its production, which we then share with our partnering bee-keepers.
Our laboratory conducts a number of experiments aimed at the developement of a technology used to create various products which would be based on bee-honey. Some of these efforts were awarded during various food fairs. We are able to create both the taste, and the parameters of our honeys in accordance to the individual demands of each client, withouth changing the original composition and qualitiy of the honey, but rather through a proper choice of various honey types from different regions of the world.
CD S.A. cooperates with top national research and science institutes, improving its current testing techniques and knowledge. We actively participate in seminars and trainings aimed at changing current regulations and production practices. Our company initiated a cooperation with an Institut für Honiganalytik located in Bremen, Germany, as well as with the British Intertek, in order to exchange information regarding honey quality.
